Respectful Relationships – we are a lead school in this program which aims to promote and model respect, positive attitudes and behaviours and take a whole-school approach to Respectful Relationships. It teaches our children how to build healthy relationships, resilience and confidence.
Live4Life – in partnership with the lead agency – the Macedon Ranges Shire Council, GSC is one of five secondary schools in the Macedon Ranges working to improve the mental health of our youth.
Headspace – through training and education, headspace Schools builds mental health literacy and resilience in the school community to better support students experiencing mental health issues, as well as providing established referral pathways to general practitioners and mental health clinicians.
Safe Schools – a Victorian Government program providing professional development and training for secondary school teachers and helping schools foster a safe and inclusive environment for LGBTI students.
Teen Mental Health – As a school that runs the Teen Mental Health program, the Macedon Ranges Shire Council provides youth mental health training for school staff and parents free of charge.
Macedon Ranges Health (MRH) Youth Clinic – The MRH Youth Clinic provides mental, sexual and general physical health services that offers clients a confidential and safe setting in which to discuss all healthy concerns and receive dedicated health care for young people 12-25 years. The College refers students to the youth clinic as needed, where they will be seen by a nurse and general practitioner (Doctor).
