Most parents send their child to the public school closest to where they live, and every child has the right to attend their designated neighbourhood school.
At Gisborne Secondary College, due to our high levels of enrolments, it is necessary to manage our enrolments carefully as we are required to accept all students that reside within our catchment zone, (meaning that Gisborne Secondary College is their closest designated neighbourhood school to their residential address by the shortest practical route).
The Department of Education decides these catchment zones, and you can determine your closest designated neighbourhood school by accessing the link: https://www.findmyschool.vic.gov.au/
If you have additional questions regarding determining your designated neighbourhood school the following link provides additional information and frequently asked questions – please click here.
Please take this information into consideration when determining your child’s eligibility to enrol at Gisborne Secondary College. You can find additional information regarding our enrolment policy on the College Documents page.
